Start a short series arrangement
For Merchant’s Rest or Grand Athenaeum, group The Book of Magic, its Revised edition and Revised Again together. This is an optional arrangement, not a required alphabetical puzzle.
- Reserve three adjacent book positions for the three editions.
- Place one copy of each edition manually in its chosen position.
- Then use auto-shelving for further copies, preserving the seeded arrangement described by DuckTapeAl.

Send the collected books home
Use Homeward after gathering the batch. The pictured run carries 15 items with a book at the front; its next continuous five seconds show all 15 shelved. Choose the starting shelf positions before that spell, as described above.

Choose your own title rule first
For an optional alphabetical layout, ignore a leading “The”, compare the remaining words from left to right, and place the shorter title first when it is the start of a longer title. This is a suggested filing rule, not a game requirement.
Under that rule, The Book of Magic comes before The Book of Magic Revised, then The Book of Magic Revised Again. The shared “The” is not used as the sorting key.
Manually seed the chosen positions before sending more copies home. Use the same rule for your next shelf; changing conventions halfway through creates unnecessary reshuffling.
Treat this as an organizational preference rather than an achievement requirement. The game checks whether the correct item occupies a valid position; your alphabetical or series order is a human-readable convention that makes later corrections easier.
