Use Gathering Gale and Homeward to Shelve a Batch

PAGE 01

Follow the spell names on the HUD

The pictured controller prompts are LB for Arcane Sight, RB for Gathering Gale and RT for Homeward.

1. Hold the item whose copies you want to collect.
2. Activate Gathering Gale when available, then Homeward to shelve the carried batch.
3. Wait for the spell cooldown before repeating. Spell upgrades reduce cooldowns.

Locate a collection you have already started

With that item held, Arcane Sight reveals loose copies and shelves already containing it. The shelf-reveal behavior was added on August 24.

Use the keyboard spell controls

The keyboard HUD shows Arcane Sight on 1, Gathering Gale on 2 and Homeward on 3. Press Q to open the Book of Sorcery. The book describes Gathering Gale as collecting nearby matches to the held item and Homeward as returning carried items to shelves.

Check a completed Homeward batch

1. With carried items ready, activate Homeward using its displayed control.
2. Watch the objects travel toward shelving and the carrying counter fall. In this continuous example, all 15 carried items return to shelves.
3. Check the arranged total and cooldown before collecting the next batch: this example changes from 1,700 to 1,715 arranged, while the pack becomes empty.

Collect matching copies with Gathering Gale

1. Hold the item you want to collect, then press the displayed Gathering Gale control: 2 on this keyboard HUD.
2. Wait for nearby matches to fly into the pack. This Sword of Howling Mist example changes from one carried sword to six, while the arranged total stays at 90.
3. Check the item list and remaining capacity. The example ends at 6 / 7; the spell has entered cooldown. Use Homeward when ready to send a collected batch to shelves.

Use Arcane Sight to finish a started book collection

1. Hold the book you want to finish, then press the displayed Arcane Sight control: 1 on this keyboard HUD.
2. Follow the pink markers to loose books. Confirm the item title when picking them up; a nearby book under the cursor can have a different title.
3. Follow the green shelf marker to the collection already started. In this example, the player carries three copies of Houseplants with Criminal Records to its existing position.
4. Place the three books. The arranged total rises from 4,030 to 4,033 and the skill balance from 72 to 73 as the collection finishes.
